Pakistan government has stopped issuing passports to citizens due to shortage of lamination paper. Due to this, thousands of citizens and students who are ready to go abroad for education and employment are getting worried.
Pakistan is importing lamination papers from France for making passports. However, due to heavy arrears, France halted exports. Pakistan’s Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has published media reports citing a statement that passports have been suspended due to a shortage of papers.
