Zaheer Khan's wife Sagarika Ghatge plays football in saree, video goes viral-Watch
Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge, who is still remembered as one of the hockey players in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chak De India’ as Preeti Sabharwal, is back in the film industry post her marriage with Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan. A video of Sagarika is doing rounds on the internet, where she can be seen playing football in saree. However, the viral video of the actress is from the inauguration ceremony of a football league in Mumbai. Sagarika Ghatge, who is a national level athlete, participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’s season 6 as a contestant and went on to be a finalist. The actor got married in November 2017, post which she took a little time off from the industry, but now she is back.

Sagarika Ghatge will feature in a big screen in a bilingual film on housewives who get together to form a football team

‘Monsoon Football’. The film will be directed by Milind Ukey. In the video, Sagrika can be seen playing football in a light green chiffon saree.

The film shooting starts in July but Sagarika will begin playing football from this month itself and looks like husband Zaheer is most supportive. “I always take his inputs because he has a mind of his own. At the end of my day, I take my own decisions. When I shared this news with him, he told me that if I liked the script I should go ahead with it”, she says.

Director Milind Ukey says, “Sagarika was my best choice for the film. She loved the subject and will be undergoing serious training in football. This will be the first of its kind film in Marathi, related to women playing football, the Hindi version too is being worked out simultaneously.’’
